Lillstreet Art Center is an art school, art gallery, and artist studio space in Chicago, Illinois. We offer classes and workshops in Ceramics, Metalsmithing & Jewelry, Textiles, Printmaking, Digital, and Drawing & Painting. Founded in 1975, Lillstreet is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year!
We provide a creative retreat from the noisy world around us, where you can relax, find inspiration, enjoy meditative creative time, make friends, and reach your artistic goals. We foster a community where artists of all backgrounds, ages, and skill levels can learn together. We promise good vibes in the studio and a supportive space to explore your practice and learn new skills.
Through our annual Artist-in-Residence program, we offer career opportunities and workspace for emerging to mid-career artists. We remove barriers to art education through our growing Scholarship Programs and Free Visiting Artist Program. We are committed to giving back to the art community and beyond, with a portion of our profits going to local humanitarian organizations monthly.

Formerly known as the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage’s African American Craft Initiative, the renamed African African American Craft Alliance, brings craft artisans, makers and organizations together to encourage the vitality of African American craft, support efforts to document and present African American work, strengthen networks, and increase access to opportunities and resources.
The African American Craft Alliance began in 2020 as an Initiative of the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage to address the needs of the African American craft community through workshops, network building, documentation, and public programming. Beginning in 2024, the work has continued and expanded as the African American Craft Alliance, supported by the Folk Education Network Alliance and working in partnership with a network of African American craft artists, regional and national craft organizations to support the needs and promote the visibility and vitality of African American craft and artists/craftpersons.
The AACA was founded by textile artist scholar, Fulbright specialist, and Smithsonian curator alumnus, Dr. Diana Baird N’Diaye.

We are celebrating our 40th year of quilt-making and sharing our talents with our community in 2025. Our 2026 Quilt Show will continue celebrating this momentous occasion along with the 250th Anniversary of the founding of our country. With the theme “Every Quilt Tells a Story” we will show examples of our work from the 1980s to today and tell the stories behind each of over 200 items that are displayed in the show.
In addition we will have hourly demonstrations of a wide variety of quilt-making tips, plus lots of shopping opportunities with vendors and our Boutique Table & Country Store where you can purchase items, including quilts, that are handmade by our 100 talented members.
Special Exhibits will be presented by local chapters of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America, The Appliqué Society, Quilts of Valor, Ryan’s Case for Smiles, and our Comfort Quilts group. The Comfort Quilts group makes and distributes walker & wheelchair bags, Adult clothing covers, lap quilts, pillow cases, and fidget quilts to local non-profit organizations, rehab facilities and nursing homes.
Our beautiful raffle quilt will benefit Ryan’s Cases for Smiles as well as our Education Committee so we can continue to educate the public with events like this.
Admission to the show for those over the age of 12 is $10 for one day, or $15 for a multi-day pass.
The show will be held from October 16-18, 2026 at the Upper Township Community Center, 1790 Route 50 in Tuckahoe, NJ (08270 for GPS).

The Women of Color Quilters Network is a non-profit organization founded in 1985 by Carolyn L. Mazloomi, a nationally-acclaimed quilt artist and lecturer, to foster and preserve the art of quiltmaking among women of color.
It supports its membership through presentations, shared technical information, grant writing, and other services. It offers quilts and fiber art by its members to museums for national and international exhibitions, and researches and documents African American quiltmaking.
Members’ quilts can be found in the permanent collection of museums such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Smithsonian African American Museum, Wadsworth Museum, and the Boston Fine Arts Museum. WCQN has been recognized by the International Labor Department in Geneva and the United Nations for its developmental programs to help advance women socially and economically.
WCQN educational programs and workshops present the benefits of quilting to audiences of all ages, income levels, ethnic background and learning abilities.

The House of Welcome Cultural Arts Center is part of the House of Welcome, the first longhouse built on a U.S. College Campus. Our work as a public service center is to support and promote Native arts and cultures and engage with Indigenous cultures throughout the world.
We support studio arts specifically in fiber art and carving on our Indigenous Arts Campus which includes a fiber arts studio and a carving studio complex. The work includes college classes, short and long term arts workshops and residencies, locally. We also support a artist workshop program in Native American communities in a four state region including Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. We provide grant support to colleges and universities who are seeking to improve or begin work in a similar fashion with Tribal artists from Tribal communities within their own service regions.

The Woodlands Arts Council (TWAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enriching our region through cultural and educational programming that encourages, supports, and promotes the visual, performing, and literary arts.
As the producer of signature events—including the award-winning The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, the Texas Fine Craft Show, and the Young Makers Market, TWAC creates meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to celebrate, experience, and be inspired by creativity.
TWAC fulfills its mission through impactful year-round initiatives, including student art scholarships, microgrants, public art projects, and educational outreach programs. Over the past 20 years, the organization has reinvested more than $1.7 million into the community, thanks to the generosity of its community.
TWAC also operates a gallery open free of charge alongside a vibrant calendar of special events and programs throughout the year.

The Baltimore Jewelry Center is an educational nonprofit building a vibrant creative community for the study and practice of metalsmithing and art jewelry.
We educate and inspire new and established artists, as well as promote metalsmithing and art jewelry to the general public through exhibitions, community and educational outreach.
We envision Baltimore reconnected to its rich history of metalsmithing and jewelry, valuing contemporary art jewelry and metalsmithing as visual art forms and craft.
New generations of metalsmiths and art jewelers will preserve and evolve the field through practice and education.

Founded in 2004, Handmade Arcade is a nonprofit that provides makers and craftspeople with opportunities to connect with customers and strengthen their small businesses. Handmade Arcade’s flagship event is the annual Holiday Market, which is the region’s largest handmade shopping event, connecting over 275 makers with more than 10,000 shoppers each year.
In addition to the Holiday Market, Handmade Arcade hosts an annual Emerging Craft Market for early career makers and will launch a new fine craft market called the Modern Craft Market in March 2026, supported by Contemporary Craft.
Handmade Arcade also helps makers connect to shoppers through an online Maker Directory, digital maker storytelling, professional development workshops, and more. Additionally, Handmade Arcade leads annual maker accelerator programs, including a BIPOC Maker Accelerator program and a Youth Maker Accelerator program. Handmade Arcade is dedicated to supporting the economic mobility of makers and craftspeople in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.

Colorado Creative Industries (CCI), a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), focuses on strengthening the vitality of visual, performing, and literary arts through promotion, resources, and funding opportunities.
In 2026, the United States will mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence—our nation’s semiquincentennial. At the same time, Colorado will mark the 150th anniversary of our entrance into the Union—our state’s sesquicentennial. As the Centennial State, Colorado is the only one who will observe twin anniversaries.
Colorado Creative Industries is celebrating this milestone with a Creative Capitol exhibition focused on Colorado’s cultural heritage, highlighting the rich history of folk and traditional arts, as well as the contemporary implementation of these modes of community expression and cultural identity. The selected works will be on display at the Colorado State Capitol Complex, including the Governor’s Office, the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, and the basement rotunda from August 2026 through April 2027.

We envision the Wendell Castle Workshop (WCW) as an internationally significant organization celebrating the intersection of art, woodworking, and furniture design by educating the public about Wendell Castle, teaching skills inspired by his work, and encouraging makers and designers to keep his legacy alive through their own practice. Located in Castle’s former studio, the WCW is a creative hub where people come from around the globe to learn, create, and connect.
Our mission is to provide classes and resources to help people experience and expand the creative legacy of Wendell Castle.

We are a non-profit art center in South Carolina that produces contemporary art exhibitions, offers year-round cultural programming, and a variety of events that are free and open to the public. These include performances, workshops and classes that embrace not only visual arts but also theater and dance.
Housing both a gallery and an adjacent live-work studio for an artist-in-residence program, CCA provides artists with resources to develop, create and exhibit their art, frequently in conjunction with performing, literary and media arts.
The Center is financially supported by diverse sources including business, government agencies, foundations and private individuals through memberships, visitor donations, and grants.
Founded in 2007, and opened one year later, CCA continues to be dedicated to enhancing the interaction between artists and the public. The Center is located at 701 Whaley Street, in the former community center of Columbia’s Mill District.
