Student Gabbi '27 weaving tea towels that she designed to honor both her family and the College's 4th Great Commitment to the Dignity of All Labor. Sean Hall '25 and Evy Medley '25Student Muhamed '26 leads the production of our wooden dustpans. Now a senior Muhamed was randomly assigned a position in the woodshop as a first year and has seen his skills grow every year. Not only is Muhamed an accomplished maker but he has demonstrated at some of the countries finest museums. Sean Hall '25 and Evy Medley '25Like all of our students Elena '24 found herself doing more than just creating beautiful objects within Student Craft. Students here are involved in every aspect of the process from repairing equipment to designing new products. Elena is shown here working hard preparing to mix clay for new work. Sean Hall '25In addition to creating crafted objects Student Craft also teaches about craft in schools throughout Appalachia.
