The Lippitt House Dining Room has been described as one of the best surviving example of mid-nineteenth century dining iconography in America. It epitomizes the 19th century Victorian aesthetic with highly decorated, over-scale furniture featuring hunt and harvest imagery, which is also depicted in carved architectural details and in the still lifes hung in the room.
