Wayne Art Center has been enriching the cultural needs of the community since 1931.  From its modest beginnings as the first art center established on Philadelphia’s Main Line, Wayne Art Center has grown into a dynamic non-profit cultural resource providing instruction in all phases of the visual, performing, and culinary arts.

Dedicated to enriching the community through the arts, the mission of Wayne Art Center is to afford artists and the broader community an interdisciplinary venue to explore, share and learn, while fostering a sense of community for arts education and appreciation.

Over 500 classes and workshops are offered annually to nearly 6,000 students of all ages and abilities.  The Center’s high caliber faculty supports the outstanding reputation Wayne Art Center has achieved for 95 years.

Through an active and diverse schedule of monthly exhibitions, Wayne Art Center attracts artists and visitors from throughout the United States and abroad, providing opportunities for artists to exhibit their work and educates and introduces our community to new trends in the arts. Wayne Art Center’s Davenport, Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith, and Vidinghoff Galleries welcome over 35,000 visitors a year for exhibitions, lectures, and special events.
