Start Carving Tiny Folk Workshop with Maeve Gathje

Try out Scandinavian-style flat plane carving in this one day class, focused on carving “village folk” or tiny characters.

Maeve Gathje will introduce the technique of carving faces and people “on the corner” of a longer squared blank. This simple format allows new carvers to practice knife skills and exercise their creativity.

Suitable for beginners, ages 16+, or 14+ with an accompanying adult. $115 ($100 ASI member) + $40 materials fee payable to instructor.
