Starting with Slöjd: Viking 6-Strand Braid

Starting with Slöjd is a monthly program for early elementary children. Participants explore new tools, materials, and skills that prepare them for a lifelong love of handcraft.

These drop-off programs are suitable for students in grades K–2. $20 ($15 ASI member).

Learn to braid like the Vikings! Instructor Anna Ruhland will show students how to braid a cord using six strands of thread or yarn. This cord can be used as a necklace, bracelet, or strap for a bag.
