Join Duluth-based textile artist Kirsten Aune for a few hours of practicing decorative hand stitching on hand printed fabrics.
Students will experiment with the interplay of printed fabric and thread as they work on Kirsten’s colorful, Scandi-inspired textiles and practice five stitches. Depending on past hand sewing experience, students will complete a pin cushion, small pouch, or both.
Suitable for ages 16+. $65 ($55 ASI member) + $25 materials fee payable to instructor.

Celebrate the cycles of seasons and the emergence of spring in this Equinox wreath workshop with farmer-florist Elle Sullivan of Mellifera Flowers.
Using dried flowers and foraged elements reflective of our Northwoods ecosystems, students will build handtied wreaths using Elle’s well-tested tips and tricks. Students will finish the workshop with a completed wreath made on a 10″ base.
Suitable for ages 18+. $65 ($55 ASI member) + $45 materials fee payable to instructor.
