Alberta Whittle: Artist in Residence

Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026 will support an artist residency at Spelman College; an immersive opportunity to collaborate, experiment and create. Alberta Whittle works across painting, film, performance and textiles illustrating a nuanced approach to the notion of craft.

Engaging resources across campus from emergent technologies in the innovation lab to resources in printmaking, papermaking, fibers and beyond Whittle will create, meet and interact with faculty and students.
