Those Crafty Nichols Sisters
presented by
Nichols House Museum
Among the treasures in the Nichols House Museum’s collection are items crafted by Rose and Margaret Nichols in the early 20th century.
At a time when woodworking was an unusual profession for a woman, Margaret hand built furniture, ran her own furniture-making business, and taught woodworking classes. Rose was a woodcarver and an embroiderer, her designs enlivening the Nichols family home.
On this special tour of the Nichols House Museum, we’ll highlight the objects they created.
