Baltimore Clayworks is a community-centered ceramics institution in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. Our organization was founded by nine artists in 1980 and in 1984 received its nonprofit 501(c)3  status. We are known for our attentiveness to our city, and possess a national and international reputation for artistic excellence, artists’ support, and community involvement.

Established in 1934, the Hambidge Center nurtures creativity in all walks of life through a multidisciplinary residency program, innovative workshop retreats, environmental initiatives, and community programs on its pristine wooded 600-acre creative sanctuary in the North Georgia Mountains. The Hambidge Cross-Pollination Art Lab and Hambidge Hive provide studio and exhibition space for dynamic arts programming in Atlanta. Located in Demorest, Georgia, the Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art (MSMA) is part of Piedmont University. The museum fosters artistic and cultural enrichment by exhibiting art, supporting the university, and engaging the Northeast Georgia community.

Opened in 2011, the MSMA serves as the permanent home for works donated to the college by Dr. Bill Mason, Class of 1957, and Bob Scharfenstein, both of Birmingham, Alabama. Throughout the year, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions featuring contemporary art, craft, and design.

Los Angeles Basketry Guild was formed in 1985. Our mission is the encouragement of the ancient skills of basketmaking in a traditional sense and in new ways to create vessels of use and display. Through the society of basket makers, new skills and traditions are passed on to the next generation.

The purpose of this organization is to stimulate interest in basketry by perpetuation of and education in the art of basketry; to educate the general public on the historic value and heritage relating to basketry; and to support and encourage our members to be quality basket makers.

In-person meetings are held quarterly in Santa Monica and in-person workshops are held several times per year in the Los Angeles area.

Belger Arts has three locations in Kansas City, MO where contemporary art exhibitions are presented and a range of programming in ceramics and glass education is provided.

Since 2000, the Belger Arts Center has encouraged viewers to explore, question, and deepen their understanding of art and of the world around them. Drawing upon the extensive Belger Collection as well as a rich variety of local, national, and international artists, the Belger Arts Center has staged over 100 large-scale exhibitions that represent some of the best in contemporary art.

Belger Crane Yard Studios, an arts complex dedicated to providing studio and exhibition space for artists, opened in 2013. The range of programming in ceramics education for all ages, in addition to an artist in residence program, has made Belger a center for contemporary art.

The Belger Glass Annex is the third Belger Arts location and opened to the public in October 2021. It is the first public glassblowing studio in Kansas City of its scale and scope. The facility boasts state-of-the-art glass blowing equipment and tools, a furnace that holds 300 pounds of molten glass, and three workstations. The Belger Glass Annex is primed to be a Midwest hub for glass art, education, and appreciation, strengthening Kansas City’s reputation as an arts destination.

Founded in 1903, Pewabic Pottery is one of the oldest continually operating potteries in the country. Working out of their National Historic Landmark studio on Detroit’s east side, Pewabic preserves a tradition of handcraftsmanship that has enriched lives for generations. Pewabic today is an active working pottery, architectural tile studio, ceramic arts education center and vibrant cultural destination that attracts visitors from around the world.

The University of Arkansas School of Art, housed in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, offers undergraduate degrees and tuition-free graduate programs in Art Education, Art History, Graphic Design and Studio Art.

In 2017, the former Department of Art became the School of Art through a $120 million gift from the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation. With additional support from the Windgate Foundation, the school established the Windgate Art and Design District, providing state-of-the-art facilities for all programs.

Dedicated to excellence in education, research, and service in the visual arts, the school maintains strong ties with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Momentary, and other arts organizations. This includes the new Art History M.A. with a two-year residency at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art focused on the arts of the Americas and active Visiting Lecture Series.

Facilities span the main campus and the Windgate Art and Design District in south Fayetteville, uniting art, design, and education as a creative hub. The Fine Arts Center, designed by Edward Durell Stone, houses the school on campus, while the district features public galleries, studios, and collaborative spaces. A new Gallery and Foundations Building, now under construction, will expand galleries, labs, maker spaces, and the vital first-year Foundations program.
