To kick off our year of programming from nationally acclaimed teachers, we want to showcase the talents of our local community from first timers to experienced weavers, spinners, dyers, felters, rug hookers, and all things fiber arts.

Entries for the exhibition will be accepted from December 9, 2025 to January 16, 2026.

The exhibition will run from February 6 to March 8, 2026 with a special opening night on February 6.

America 250: Common Threads reflects on 250 years of art as civic participation. A copy of the Declaration of Independence will anchor a group of historic documents displayed alongside quilts, weavings, whirligigs, paintings, and more, from the eighteenth century to the present. Local quilters working live in the galleries will piece quilt squares made by Arkansas K-12 students and designed by artist Basil Kincaid.

The exhibition is organized in partnership with the American Folk Art Museum.

B. Jean Larson is an artist and researcher who questions value and visibility by exploring the intersections of utilitarian textile craft, posthumanism, and queer theory. Central to her practice is the metaphor of the bog: a queer space that shifts between the binaries of land and water and has been historically devalued.

Through meticulous hand braiding, B. Jean creates large-scale rag rugs that move between painting and sculpture, art and craft.

Wayne Art Center is pleased to announce Living with Craft, featuring artworks in a diverse range of mediums that represent and celebrate an aesthetic and functional role of craft in our everyday environment.

A distinctive collection of contemporary lifestyle vignettes will showcase furniture, lighting, textiles, ceramics, glass, jewelry, wearable art, and sculptural objects by approximately 50 artists.

Wayne Art Center is excited to announce the 30th anniversary of CraftForms, the International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Fine Craft.

Located in the Davenport Gallery, the exhibition features work created by 102 artists from 31 states and four countries, including Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Switzerland.

Works include basketry, ceramics, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, wood and 3D printing.

Tennessee Craft 2025 Member Exhibition highlights and promotes the excellence and high standards of Tennessee Craft member artists and provides public visibility and recognition for the quality and diversity of craft found in Tennessee.

Curated by the American-Scandinavian Foundation, this traveling exhibition features stunning works by 24 artists from the Upper Midwest.

Highlighting innovations to and variations on traditions, this exhibit presents artists’ works as living, malleable forms grounded in traditional skills rather than as static objects rooted in the imagined past.  The exhibition challenges the dominant “heritage model” of ethnic folklore by emphasizing that “all tradition is change.”

Paper weaving is a quick and fun way to play with color, image, and pattern—without a loom!

Through lecture and demonstration, you will learn how to choose papers for weaving, how to decorate them, how to cut strips, choose a weave structure, read a weaving draft, and how to do the actual weaving.

Surface Tension brings together two makers whose creative paths emerge from distinct disciplines.

Erika Diamond is a textile-based artist working with Kevlar and eggshells to create wearable garments and Chelsea Lillo is an Anaplastologist who crafts custom prosthetic devices for patients who experience loss or alteration of facial or physical anatomy.

Diamond and Lillo’s works navigate the terrain of the human body—its identity, construction, safety, and movement within society.

Many ideas have been fired up at Pittsburgh Glass Center since the Idea Furnace program started in 2012. Nearly 60 artists have participated in this experimental design program that connects non-glass artists with glass artists and encourages exploration in other art forms. The exhibition showcases the work of 6 artists of other mediums who were inspired by glass.

The mission of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is to welcome all to celebrate the American spirit in a setting that unites the power of art with the beauty of nature. Founded by philanthropist and arts patron Alice Walton, Crystal Bridges is a public non-profit charitable organization. The museum opened on November 11, 2011, and welcomes all with free admission.

Crystal Bridges takes its name from a nearby natural spring and the bridge construction incorporated in the building, designed by world-renowned architect Moshe Safdie. A series of pavilions nestled around two spring-fed ponds house galleries, meeting and classroom spaces, and a large, glass-enclosed gathering hall. Guest amenities include a restaurant (Eleven) and Coffee Bar on a glass-enclosed bridge overlooking the ponds, a Museum Store designed by architect Marlon Blackwell, and a library featuring more than 50,000 volumes of art reference material. Five miles of sculpture and walking trails link the museum’s 134-acre park to downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. In 2023, the museum welcomed nearly 785,000 visitors.

Five decades ago, the most influential craft exhibition ever staged, OBJECTS: USA, toured America. New York-based gallery R & Company revived the exhibition in 2020 and 2024, ultimately resulting in a traveling version that pairs work by artists from the original exhibition with those of contemporary makers.

America has changed a great deal over the past fifty years, yet the creative capacities of individual makers remain one of America’s most inspiring cultural wellsprings.
